    With WHS regulators increasing their focus on psychosocial risk, it is important for firms to consider the “safe system of work” they have in place for their leaders, and the benefits this focus will have on culture and enterprise-wide leadership impact. Leader wellbeing and sustainability is a fundamental dependency in achieving organisational outcomes, yet the trends in leadership wellbeing are concerning. This session will challenge existing thinking and reinforce the need for investment not only in leader wellbeing, but in better understanding the leadership system drivers that contribute to leader wellbeing outcomes.

    Kate is a masters qualified psychologist, executive coach, workplace mental health advisor and speaker who specialises in leadership well-being and workplace mental health. As the first person to serve in the role of Chief Mental Health Officer within an Australian professional services firm, she has extensive expertise in organisational well-being, workplace mental health and leadership sustainability & performance in partnership contexts.

    In this presentation Rachel Clements and Debra Brodowski from Centre from Corporate Health will address the topic of moral injury, its implications for HR professionals and the need to focus on developing healthy workplace leadership and cultures.

    Improving workplace wellbeing, safety and performance are important considerations for organisations at this time. In recent years, there has been growing awareness of the role that leadership and organisational culture has on individual distress, morale and job satisfaction. Perceived workplace betrayals and moral and ethical transgressions increase employee risk of moral injury and intent to leave.
